German Ancestors
During the 18th Century, there was much turmoil in the area that was known as Prussia and now know to be Germany and Austria. As a result America began to have more immigrants from Germany
Loretta’s 7x Grandparents Johan Carl Muller left the area of Palatinate area of Bavaria and settled in Somerset Pennslyvania in about 1738.
During the 19th Century following the defeat of Napoleon, there was much turmoil in the area we now know to be Germany and Poland. As a result America had more immigrants from Germany
Kelly’s Great Great Grandparents Christian Barnard Zeigler left the area of Heilbronn in Baden-Wurtemburg in 1858 and settled in Springfield, Illinois. There he met Mary Webber. Mary was also from that part of Germany. They were married and settled near Blue Mound, Illinois and began farming.
